The latest polls show the following:

It may be too early to say this, but we're only one month away, and as they say, into the final stretch of the race. I can't help but think to a particular horse race...
Load the video, scroll to minute 1:40, and imagine Tom Durkin reading below...
"Record number of negative attacks here in the election… they’re at the top of the stretch and it is John McCain who is full up… Here comes Obama under a heavy drive in battleground states, Karl Rove is there… Sarah Palin, not today! One month left, here comes Obama!! He sweeps to the lead, he’s pulling away by two… he’s pulling away by three! The Democrats and Obama have won the Presidential election and the final vote count was 364 electoral votes, he was as successful as William Clinton!!"

After the debate last night, I think we can safely say Obama has this election locked-up. Every poll indicates the votes he's secured in the last 10 days are more a function of him picking up undecideds than stealing McCainians -- that is, Obamas support has risen more than McCain's has fallen. There are only two (doomsday) scenarios I could see changing this trend: the GOP has been saving some info/scandal on Obama with the plan to release it two weeks before the election, or a major attack against Americans occurs and we see a quick "rally around the flag" that would help benefit the McFailin ticket.
